German Poetic Metal

Unwesen is one of Berlin's rare originals. A gifted and passionate black metal head.
The master has been running this project since 2007, to which he not only lends his mind and voice, but also his fast fingers on guitar and bass. He uses special effects here and there just as skillfully as he composes, writes the lyrics, records and produces all his works.

His artwork is hard and melodic, straightforward and complex, dirty and poetic - he knows how to wander between opposites, creating a rousing dynamic. His riffs are to the point, his solos atmospheric and well-placed, the lyrics intelligent and expressive, the melodies versatile, the rhythms varied - but the overall work is always straightforward and direct, catchy!

The debut album Final Isolation begins at the end of the world. We are alone in the dark and realize that there is nothing left. The album deals with Weltschmerz, the war within us, humanity's war with itself. Seven tracks of classic melodic black metal manifest the firm belief in the evil of mankind. Fast, violent tracks alternate with heavy, sustaining melodies and leave us stuck somewhere between life and death with the question “what remains?” and the realization of complete emptiness.

Constantly infused with the usual heavy riffs and sophisticated solos, Final Isolation creates exciting atmospheres while remaining beautifully dirty and driving us down a dynamic path to doom.

The second album Das Kalte Herz is a tribute to German poetry. Eleven well-formed poems are framed by a versatile sound and are dancing in changing rhythms and moods on the stage of this strange and tearing theater of life. Sometimes powerfully dynamic, sometimes dramatic, sometimes heavy, but always hard and dark, this album deals with all the contrasts and contradictions that this drama has to offer.

The current and third album takes us on various detours with an uncertain outcome. Stylistically Irrsinnfonie is setting out on a new path, whose sound is much dirtier, harder and more uncomfortable than before.
Melancholy and poetry are now followed by sheer hatred and pure contempt for everything human and the hypocrisy of the modern age.
The seven new tracks are joined by four familiar songs from the first two albums in a new sound. These new recordings show the enormous musical development of Unwesen and the full power of tube amps!
